So after months of being under contract, we closed on our first home on August 4th. It was daunting process, of signing my life away, but we couldn't have been happier. Not to mention we got money back at closing, yippee!
So let's recap the last month:
Moved out of our apartment August 4th and 5th.
Spent our first night at our new home August 5th
I spent my first night alone in our new home August 6th (which was a night I didn't sleep, and I have never heard so many different animal sounds in my entire life. Who thought motion sensor lights were a good idea anyways- my husband never told me that bugs could set it off)
Moved into our bedroom on August 7th- Jason painted our bedroom and put up crown molding (I'll post pictures soon)
More painting--the purchase of our lawn mower (yippee) and my in-laws bought us a grill :)
September 1st- dining room table bought and paid for for WAY under what we had budgeted.
We knew what we wanted for a kitchen table, and we knew that the price tag was going to take a bit to save. 899 is a lot of money, but hey you only buy a kitchen table once right? So we saved for the last four months, waiting for the perfect time to go purchase our table, that happended to be Tuesday night. We get to Portland, go to where we planned to buy said table and whip out the debit card...I say to Jason, let's check the discounted area, you never know what may be in there...so off we go and viola there it is the table I wanted with 6 chairs for only....399.00!! Woo Hoo!! Needless to say I am pumped about this, and love the way it looks in our dining room.
